Vegetarian Curry Puff





Ingredients :
500 gm Potato
200gm Carrot
300gm Dried soya meat (i used Enrico's)
1 big Onion
2 tsp Garlic & ginger paste
2 tbsp Masala powder (meat)
1 tbsp Chilli powder
1/2 tbsp Tumeric powder
a pinch Salt
a pinch of sugar (optional)
Method:
1) Wash the soya meat in water and cook for few minutes until it well cooked and soft. Drain the
water. Cut into small pieces. Keep aside.
2) Peel potato and cut into tubes. Keep aside.
3) Cut the carrots into tubes. Keep aside.
4) Chopped the onions. Blend the garlic and ginger. Make it as paste.
5) Heat oil and saute the chopped onions. After few second, add in garlic and ginger paste.
6) Add in the soya meat. Stir for a while. Add in the potatos and carrots. Stir in small heat.
7) Add in chilli, tumeric, masala powder. Followed by salt. Stir well.
8) Add in water and cook until the ingredients cooked well.
9) Take a tbsp of potato mix and fill in puff pastry.
10) Bake it until it turn gold colour.

Payasam (sweet)



Ingredients:
1/2 cup kadalai paruppu
1/2 cup vermicelli
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp raisins(dry grapes)
1/2 cup cashews
1/4 tsp cardamon powder
1/4 tsp dried ginger powder
1 tsp ghee
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sagu

Method:
1) Wash 'kadalai paruppu' in water and cook until soft.
2) Heat ghee and fry raisins and cashews for sometime. Keep aside.
3) Heat ghee and fry vermicelli till a nice aroma comes out. Keep aside.
4) Now inside the paruppu add milk, sagu, vermicelli and cook till vermicelli cooked well
(You can cook them in water instead of milk, but milk gives a nice flavor).
5) Add sugar, cashew nuts and cook till sugar is diluted. Add in the cardamon and dried ginger
powder. mix well. Take out from heat.

Cashew nut cookies


Ingredients:
225 g butter cup
140 g Icing sugar
1 egg yolk
140 g cashew nuts (roast n blended)
380 g wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
egg yolk (add some yellow colour)
Cashew nut for decoration (roasted)

Method:
1. Cream butter and sugar till soft and creamy.
2. Add in vanilla essence and egg yolk.
3. Add in baking powder and blended cashew nuts, mix well.
3. Add in the flour and mix till it becomes a dough
4. Take a small portion of dough and shape it as cashew nut and decorate with cashew nuts.
5. Arrange on tray and apply with egg yolk on it.
6. Bake at 150C for 15 min atau or until it turn to yellow colour.

Double layered biscuit



Ingredients:
200 gm. Butter
180 gm. fine sugar
30 gm. beaten egg
300 gm. plain flour
Strawberry Jam

Method :
1) Cream butter and sugar till creamy.
(2) Add in beaten egg.
(3) Add in plain flour, knead into a pliable dough.
(4) Roll Dough between 2 plastic sheets, use a fluted cutter to cut the cookies. Pair them up. 1 with hole and the other without a hole. (Use a small cookie cutter to cut out the hole)
(5) Bake at 170C for about 10- 15 mins.
(6) Transfer to wire rack to cool.
(7) Spread jam onto the cookie without hole and then top up with the cookie with a hole.
(8) Srinkle with sugar.

Almond Biscuit


Ingredients :
160 gm of butter
150 gm of sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp of vanilla
220 gm of flour
80 gm of cornstarch
60 gm of almond nibs

Glaze :
1 egg yolk
some chopped almond

Method:
1) In a medium bowl mix flour, cornstarch and almond nibs. Mix well.
2) Cream sugar and butter until light and creamy. Add in egg and vanilla until well combined.
3) Slow down the speed of your mixer and slowly add in the flour until everything became
dough.
4) Lightly dust your work surface with some flour and roll out the cookie dough to about 0.5cm
thickness. Cut out dough with a cookies cutter into desire shapes. Arrange cookies into a
lightly greased baking tray.
5) Brush the top of the cookies with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle some almond on top.
6) Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree F oven for 15 minutes or lightly brown. Cool and wire racks.

Tears







Beancurd


Dear friends,
The sambal in above picture is look like a curry. Because my father in law like curry type of food. So, to satisfy him, i add in more water but the taste is still there. Those like gravy,cook the sambal until it become gravy.

Ingredients :
400g Beancurd (cut in to squares and lightly fry)
5 big onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (grind)
1 inch ginger (grind)
1 tsp tumeric powder
3 tbsp chilli powder
2 small tomatoes

Seasoning:
1/2 tsp sugar to taste
1/2 tsp salt to taste
2–3 tbsp oil

Method:
1) Heat oil in a wok. When hot, fry onion for few second. Add in garlic and ginger paste. Fry it for
few minutes until soft.
2) Add in chilli and tumeric powder. Than tomatoes. Pour little bit of water and seasoning. Cook
for 3 minutes. Keep stiring and let fire slow.
3) Put in fried beancurd and simmer the gravy becomes thick.
4) Remove from fire when gravy bubbles. Serve hot with rice.

Fried vegetable



Ingredients :
75gm Beans
75gm Cabbage
75gm Carrot
75gm Mushroom
1/2 tsp Mustard seed
1/2 tsp Tumeric powder
1 tsp Chopped garlic
1/2 tsp Corn flour (mix with 1 tbsp water)
Oil
Method :
1) Heat oil in a wok and fry mustard seeds and chopped garlic. Leaves for one to two minutes;
keep stirring until seeds pop up and fry till soft.
2) Stir in all the vegetables and mushroom. Add in tumeric powder and salt.
3) Cook for four to five minutes or till vegetables are cooked but still crisp.
4) Add in corn flour mix. Leave for 2 minutes. Serve immediately.
